Tradable & Steam
What can leave the game, at what pace and why.
A small share of what you catch can leave the game and become an item in your Steam Inventory, to trade or sell on the Community Market. The rule exists so the item is worth something: a fixed amount per time spent fishing, the same for everyone.
- Fish of RARE or above, or with any variant.
- Cosmetics from gold and legendary chests.
- Never: boss fish, tank-born fry, stage rewards, closed chests, gems, materials, feed, gear or coins.
- 1 find per hour with the game open โ closed time does not count.
- Capped at 2 a day and 8 a week.
- Account eligible from level 15, with 7 days of account age and the Backyard's stage 10 โ or with any purchase.
- The server decides. A find only becomes tradable once the server confirms it; until then the fish stays bound.
A tradable item is the rarest thing an account owns, and almost everything in the game spends fish. So it comes locked: it does not sell, and never becomes feed, a dish, a trophy, an order or an offering. What borrows and gives back โ the aquarium and the breeding tanks โ stays available, and the door to Steam is always open. In the backpack it carries the blue mark of the Market.
Tournaments
Every week one species goes to tournament: you enter a fish of it and take on the other players' ranking. The entered fish leaves your backpack. Tradable and locked fish cannot be entered.
